[Newsarama]: Marvel Comics just released a teaser image that promises disaster for the Ultimate Universe. The image shows Cyclops, Jean Grey, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Storm in their Ultimate duds standing over a nearly vaporized skeleton, under "The End" in bold red letters.

Readers don't have to wait long for the payoff, as the date 07.29.09 also accompanies the image. Take a look at it on the right, and start your guesses. Out of the heroes left so far, who isn't going to make it out of Ultimatum alive?

Newsarama has posted a preview of Amazing Spider-Man #599, and it looks awesome. The art is possibly the best on the stands today, and the story is a Grade-A barn-burner. From the site:
