In a Webcomics.con Poll, we asked: “If I could hire one person to help my webcomics business, it would be a(n)…” The results weren’t particularly surprising. The top response (27%) was “Business Manager.” But here’s the real question…

Would you actually follow a business manager’s advice?

A business manager would certainly make some very stringent requests on you. Including:

  • Setting a deadline and hitting it consistently
  • Putting aside 30% of your income for taxes
  • Making significant posts on social media on a regular basis
  • Creating special comics for potential advertisers/sponsors
  • Changing the creative content of your comic itself
  • Create exclusive content for Patreon
  • Move your focus to using your site/blog to build crowdfunding support
