Evil Inc Flash Fiction
Last week, I posted a couple of NSFW commissions that I was really excited to share — for several reasons. For a few years now, I’ve been posting some of my commissions with a “microfic” version. That’s a version of the commission with an extended narration that weaves a story into the image. Here’s the first part of the microfic version of one of the illustrations I shared last week.
However… last week, I decided to challenge myself to write a somewhat longer story to accompany the commission. This flash fiction is a bite-sized story you can read in under five minutes — perfect for a quick slice of spicy storytelling. Here’s an excerpt from the flash fiction that posted with the commission above:
Prince Daryn of Valexxia had grown used to stress. As co-ruler of a kingdom that valued diplomacy and decadence in equal measure, he bore his duties with stoic dignity. Day after day, he was burdened by endless councils and ceremonial obligations. And at night, he released all of his pent-up energy with the many willing companions he found around the castle.
Tonight, he hadn’t expected company.
The knock on his chamber door was assertive — heroic, even — and when it opened, the silhouette that entered was unmistakable. Towering, radiant, and somehow both regal and entirely guileless, Phenomenal Lass stepped into his private quarters with her hands on her hips and a bright gleam in her eye.
“I heard from your sister,” she announced, “that you carry a heavy load.”
He blinked, caught off guard. “I… do,” he said carefully, amused. “One might say that.”
She nodded solemnly, bouncing ever so slightly as she approached. “As a fellow warrior — and someone with quite a lot of upper-body strength — I wanted to offer my help. I relieve loads all the time!”
Daryn blinked. “You do?”
She beamed. “It’s practically a hobby.”
I’m not exactly going to give folks like Nobilis Reed or Cecilia Tan a run for their money. But it’s a skill I’d like to try to improve. And the best way to do that is do it over and over again (and then share it with you). I've already posted a scene featuring a goblin girl visiting a holstaur bar and Cassie discovering why Iron Dragon was so worried about this…

When tensions run high, sometimes the best solution is a night on the town — or so they thought. After deciding to bring Cassie along for a round of karaoke to smooth things over, Miss Match and Desi wake up to a harsh morning full of regret, caffeine, and whispered recriminations. What really happened at the karaoke bar? Let’s just say some performances are hard to forget.

Miss Match (seated at the table, holding a mug): Can you keep it down?
Desi (pouring sugar into coffee): How can I pour sugar any quieter than this??

Miss Match: No.
Miss Match: The coffee... If you can keep it down, you'll be the first one this morning.
[Panel 3 – Desi sipping coffee, Miss Match still slouched]
Miss Match: What were we thinking?
Desi: Someone had the bright idea to take Cassie to a karaoke bar to bury the hatchet.
[Panel 4 – Desi sipping coffee, Miss Match exhausted]
Desi: Cassie is a formidable woman, for someone who's not a supervillain.
[Panel 5 – Cassie bursts into the breakroom, singing dramatically]
