One of the added benefits of these "Meanwhile..." strips is that they give me a chance to explore a little backstory or share extra details about the characters. In this one, we get a bit more insight into how Desi's powers work — specifically, her ability to conjure and command spirits from the Dark Dominion. It adds another layer to her role at Evil Inc and hints at just how deep her magical skillset really goes.
