Today’s page takes us back to Ralph’s Diner, where Captain Heroic proves—once again—that nothing rattles him… not even a surprise soup bath.
Hailey is mortified, Captain Heroic is dripping, and somewhere across the diner, Yazmine Velour is livestreaming the whole thing as heart emojis rain from the internet. It’s a small moment, but one that says a lot about who Cap really is—and why people can’t help falling for him.

Panel 1 Hailey (distraught that she has dumped hot soup on Captain Heroic): Omigod Omigod Omigod…
Captain Heroic (turning to another person eating at the diner): Excuse me. Would you hand me a napkin, please? (The person hands him a napkin)

Because of the massively successful Kickstarter campaign for the upcoming Webcomics Handbook, (not to mention a downright harrowing Web host / Content Management System switch last month) I fell way behind my production schedule for the July comics. That left Ed Ryzowski, the skillful colorist of Evil Inc, little (or no) time to work his tremendous craft. So the last two weeks of the July pre-release are in black-and-white. For now. As soon as the colored versions are ready, I’ll release an update for you to download and replace the early edition you bought.
The July Evil Inc comic is 39 pages, and it concludes a time-travel adventure with Oscar and Oliver. Also, it’s the return of the Real Housewives of Transylvania for a special two-week storyline.
Then, in Tale from the Evil Inc Archive, re-live the entire Ruby of Ragnoor storyline. Lightning Lady and the newly-villainized Elastic man team up to steal the Ruby of Ragnoor — a jewel with rumored mystic properties. But what happens when it falls into the hands of Miss Match, who uses it to try to simplify her hero/villain secret marriage with Captain Heroic? Simple. Captain Heroic forgets he’s married, starts fooling around with the aptly-named Amazing Amazon, and arrests Miss Match. It’s a classic Evil Inc storyline with surpise twists and dangerous curves!
