Mister Howell lifts his daughter onto his lap: “ ~yawn~ Clarissa Olivia Howell… do you know what time it is?”

Clarissa: “TIME TO PLAY!”

Mister Howell: “Must be a full moon tonight!”

Clarissa: “Full of WHAT??”

Mister Howell: “No… ‘full’ is an expression that means we can see the entire moon.”

We see the outside of a cottage in the woods, under a full moon, as Mister Howell continues: “Sometimes our view of the moon is partially blocked.”

Mister Howell: “Y’know… when it sometimes looks like a crescent…”

Clarissa: “MOM! Dad’s telling jokes again!”

Missus Howell sits up in bed behind her husband: “Honey… if you wanna make up something… start with breakfast.”
