Chapter 17 | Page 2b: The Ol’ Battle Ax

The #GuigarChristmasCountdown Rolls On

Every day until Christmas, I’m releasing a brand-new holiday single-panel gag — and this year’s batch has already included:

  • Overworked elves

  • Malfunctioning snowmen

  • Questionable reindeer behavior

  • And Santas who are absolutely phoning it in

Next week’s cartoons keep the absurdity rolling. If you’re counting down to Christmas with me… buckle up. We’re not even halfway to the weirdest ones. Catch them on BlueskyPatreon chat, or the Evil Inc Subreddit.

Hey Comics — Kids! S02E35: Gravity Falls

Hey Comics Kids podcast logoBe sure to visit our Patreon page! (patreon.com/heycomicskids ) The boys were huge fans of the Disney XD animated series, “Gravity Falls.” They loved Dipper and Mabel and Grunkle Stan. They know they’re approaching Weirdmaggeddon, but they’re not sure how they feel about that. This series has been their favorite Disney XD show for a long time, and I’m a little sad that it’s only slated to run two seasons.

About “Gravity Falls”

“Gravity Falls” was created by Alex Hirsh for Disney XD. The story centers on a magic summer vacation that two kids — Dipper and Mabel —  spend with their “Gruncle” (great-uncle) Stan in a town that seems to be immersed in paranormal / supernatural forces. Despite the show’s runaway success, the creator, Hirsch, had a definite story arc in mind for this series, and was able to convince Disney to end it after only two seasons. The story itself is as entertaining as it is intricate — and it was fun to watch the total immersion that happened as my sons got drawn into the writing.
